Are you impressed? Another post written a few days on from the last!

I will try and keep this going as I document by photography progress. Maybe I will get somewhere, maybe nowhere, let’s see….

So while Kadon had basketball training in San Pedro Alcantara, I decided to have a walk round town and shoot some handheld street photography. Not the best time of day, late morning but the cloudy skies gave some feature and lighting to the images. I will try the same images during golden and blue hours, so come back and see those, one day!

There is an old town in San Pedro, but not much architecture, however I will always add the best photo from the session. Even if it is terrible!

One thing I have to admit to, not a big secret but I have decided to give some of Serge Ramelli’s tutorials a go. I watched and downloaded some free stuff, then purchased a few cheap preset bundles and have now launched into a full on course from Black Friday. Okay the guy is a great salesman, could probably sell snow to Eskimos, but he has a style I like. So keep watching my progress and lets see where we go with this!

So what did I learn to produce this image, one main point, expose for the highlights. In this instance the sky, no filters. The RAW images look pretty terrible but the shadows can be pulled back and I am reasonably pleased with the dynamic range of the D7200. It’s going to have to be a big purchase to replace this camera, but one day it will have to be done, or you can always sponsor me 😉
